Best bread baking community ever!
This is a very friendly, growing, supportive community of bakers who love to learn to bake great bread in all it's forms. We are all in the academy to learn and and support each other while we share our success and our failures as well. There are so many things about this academy that make it successful. First is Henry Hunter who's dream is to share his knowledge of baking bread with those enthusiastic about learning through success as well as...well sometimes learning through failure. The academy offers so many educational opportunities through its videos and classes that are open to all who want to participate and...they are all free. They are not only full of information but also include how-to videos and many practical tips to make our bakes successful. Each week there is an opportunity to bake together. Henry provides a recipe for those who bake with commercial yeast as well as for those who bake with sourdough starter. The community logs on and we all bake together, sharing pictures and comments that encourage and support each other....even our failed bakes. All weeks have teaching incentives towards the next week's bake so that we all can progress in our learning while Henry monitors and is available to answer any questions. In addition, there is a large recipe pantry available that walks anyone through each step of the baking process for each recipe, including "Krusty". Click on the icon and you can literally ask any question throughout the process and get your question answered in real time. What could be better? There are both experienced as well as new bread bakers in the group and many have become friends along the way. If you are interested in learning how, or just love baking bread, this is the absolute best group to join. I know that I am a much better bread baker because of this group.

This Community is Amazing!
I am so glad I was invited into the Crust & Crumb Academy. This community is amazing. I felt at home as soon as I walked through the door. It’s like a big, supportive family. Henry, the content creator is so knowledgeable and attentive. The community includes beginners all the way to very experienced home bakers. The best part is when we all come together for our Saturday bake off. We follow the same recipe but add our own personal twists if desired. A live thread runs throughout the day where we can ask questions, troubleshoot, share encouragement, successes and failures. It such a rewarding day! I have learned so much in barely a month of joining.Never had I imagined such a thing even existed but I’m so glad to be a part of this great big family of learning bakers!

I LOVE THIS GROUP
I love this group. Henry is always available to pose questions, offer tips for baking and teaching new skills and tips. The community is interactive which makes it nice to show up because there is feedback for your bakes, cheers for your successes and just all around great people. For every level I think. I'm self-taught gluten-free baking and I feel there is so much for me to learn here. Thank you Henry!

One of the best guitar communities I've been in.
I just wanted to stop by and leave this review for Chris's community. I've been in this community from the very beginning, and I've learnt so much from Chris's expertise! What I love are the really down-to-earth and simple tutorials that help you learn guitar, and I 100% recommend this community to anyone who is just getting started!

Beginner or Experienced - This is the place for connection and growth
I love this community for the conversations, the connections and growth in guitar playing skills. I've played guitar of over 50 years - not well - but I do play. My guitar broke about 5 years ago and in 2 weeks I'll be purchasing a new one. All because Chris re ignited my excitement about playing again. It's one thing to go "youtube" how to play - it's quite another to have someone you can ask questions of when you just don't understand something. Bonus my husband is going to take up guitar also!

Real Progress, Real Songs, Real Fast
I wouldn’t consider myself a complete beginner -- I’m more of a self-taught player in that intermediate range -- but this class has been incredibly valuable for me in a way I didn’t expect. It’s helped me go back and actually understand the foundational skills I either skipped or picked up incorrectly along the way, and that alone has made a huge difference in how I approach playing. What really stands out is how well everything is broken down. The lessons are clear, step-by-step, and easy to follow without ever feeling overwhelming or overly basic. Chris has a way of explaining things that just click, whether you’re brand new or trying to clean up bad habits like I was. But what makes this class different is that it’s not just drills or theory, you’re learning through music right away. Chris chooses a lot of well-known songs and riffs, and breaks them down into simple, manageable pieces so you can actually play something recognizable pretty quickly. That immediate sense of progress and accomplishment is huge, especially if you’ve ever felt stuck or discouraged trying to learn on your own. On top of that, there’s a really fun community aspect built in. The challenges and interactive pieces keep you engaged and give you something to work toward, instead of just passively watching lessons. It makes the whole experience feel more like you’re part of something, not just learning in isolation. Honestly, it’s been a great reset for me as a player. Whether you’re a true beginner or someone who’s been self-teaching and wants to tighten up your fundamentals, this is one of the most effective and enjoyable ways I’ve found to do it. You can tell Chris genuinely cares about helping people learn, and it shows in how the whole program is put together.
